NPR song for the Monitor Mix prompt
NPR has a great blog called the Monitor Mix, by Carrie Brownstein. I ran across an entry to today that she posted Friday the 13th, called Record a Song this Weekend! I quickly sprang to the piano and got to some tinkering.
Part of the challenge was including one of the following words in your song: dog, firecracker, lamp shade, Japan, and NPR. The word ‘dog’ was bringing on some nasty connotations, so I began messing with NPR. Having recently written a tune using only the letters AAU, I thought I’d head a similar route for this one.
